DIN Module – main control unit of the VArio system
DIN module is the main unit of the VArio intelligent pool control system. VArio DIN module is available either as an integral part of a Vágner automatics control unit, or the DIN may be purchased separately and be built into an already-existing breaker box.
The intelligent VArio system allows the user to control the pool over a local WIFI network, over the internet od using a local radio remote controller.
The main DIN module of version 1.2 or higher can be expanded with the DIN LIGHTS module (item 516201) – an add-on module for advanced lights control.
VArio System Controls
The DIN module itself does not have any control interface. it is always necessary to purchase a WIFI module and/or an RC module.
The ideal basic combination is the DIN module with a WiFi module, which enables remote control of the system via the Internet as well as remote diagnostics and aid by the pool builder / service technician.
The basic set of the DIN+WIFI modules can be completed with an RC module for local radio control. The RC module has IP 65 protection (it is resistant to splashing water or rain) which makes it suitable for pool-side use.
Controlled technology
The main DIN module Version 1.2 allows the control of the following technologies:
Filtration – AUTO = 4 programmable time intervals, manual ON without dosing, manual ON with dosing/heating and permanent OFF
Dosing ON/OFF – operation of the salt shaker / UV lamp depending on the filtration - 25% / 50% / 75% / 100% of the filtration time
Attraction 2 – timer 0-120 min. The function of the Dosing ON/OFF output can be alternatively conmfigured and used for Attraction 2 control.
Lights – timer 0-240 min, OFF or permanently ON
Attraction 3 – after connecting the VArio LIGHTS add-on module, output R3 changes to Attraction 3 (timer 0-120 min
Heating/Cooling – heat source control according to measured resp. preset water temperature, with heating priority function
Attraction 1 – timer 0-120 min.
RS485 – Automatic dosing unit with own measuring and MODBUS communication
2 technology-protection inputs are also available on the DIN Module (Version 1.2 or higher):
Flow switch
- protection of technologies fully dependant on sufficient water flow (dosing, heating etc.)
Pool cover position
- optimization of technology operation, with regard to pool cover position (open / closed pool).
Connecting the VA DOS / VA SALT SMART water treatment units
A communication cable is required to connect the VA DOS / VA SALT SMART unit to the DIN module. Order the cable Nr. 516130 or 51613010 (a 3m / 10m connection cable to a Vágner Pool VArio automatics, with connector on the box) or the 516132 or 51613210 (a 3m / 10m connection cable directly to the DIN module).
To extablish a communication with VA SALT SMART unit, the Communication module VA SALT SMART (item no. 516141) will be needed as well..
In order to connect an older VA DOS dosing unit, it may be necessary to upgrade the main electronics (replacement part No. RIC0151815).
Note: In the case of installing the VArio intelligent system on an existing older implementation, we recommend a consultation regarding communication with the dosing station.
IMPORTANT: The VArio system is meant to be installed and launched by an experienced pool technician. The proiducer has no responsibility over fault installation or misuse of the system and it;s components.
